What makes us different?
We take great pride in serving high-quality dishes made using locally sourced meat from our own Honiton butchery, The Crafty Cleaver, allowing us to maintain full confidence in the quality, provenance and preparation of every cut. This close connection ensures that every dish we serve is crafted with care, consistency and flavour at the heart.
Whether you’re joining us to enjoy our popular carvery (available Wednesday to Sunday), indulging in comforting traditional pub classics or exploring our thoughtfully prepared vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, our menus are designed to offer something for everyone.
With a spacious children’s play area, ample on-site parking and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, The Bowd Inn is the perfect place for everything from casual lunches and family meals to celebrations and special occasions.

Behind The Scenes At The Bowd Inn
Owner, David, brings a passion for great hospitality to everything he does – from The Bowd, which he proudly took over in August 2025, to The Heathfield Inn in Honiton and The Thirsty Farmer in Whimple, all part of the Inglenook Hospitality Group.
We’re delighted to share that Inglenook Hospitality was named Hospitality Hero at The Notty’s Awards 2025 and won Best Restaurant, Pub & Bar at The Exeter Living Awards 2025 – recognition that reflects the dedication of our entire team.
